CFL preschool classes experienced a "Turkey Talk" program earlier this month. G16's Outdoor Education Coordinator Ari Philipson and volunteer LeRoy Gutierrez visited preschool classrooms to speak to kids about turkeys. Philipson and Gutierrez let the students hear their best turkey calls and talked to students about colors and patterns of turkeys. Students were able to feel real turkey feathers, use different turkey calls, and demonstrate their best turkey camouflage. See the CFL Facebook page for more photos.

Busy weekend ahead! The 40th Annual Craft Fair will be held this Saturday, November 18th at Grand Valley High School from 9 am to 4 pm. The 3rd Annual Who Village Christmas Market will also take place this Saturday next to Clark's Market from 10 am to 4 pm. The Town of Parachute is also hosting Holidays in Grand Valley from 5:15 pm to 8:00 pm.

Garfield 16 honored Veterans today throughout the district. GVHS Leadership hosted the 2nd annual Veterans Day Assembly. Grand Valley Middle School students joined the GVHS assembly. CFL students made Veterans day cards for the Rec Center's Veterans Day Brunch, and BUE hosted its annual Veterans Day Assembly.
